In 1993, Alfa Romeo didn't just enter the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft, they conquered it. The 155 V6 TI arrived as a statement of intent: a 420bhp, transversely-mounted V6 screaming to 11,500rpm, clothed in the iconic white and red livery of Alfa Corse. Driven by Nicola Larini and Alessandro Nannini, the 155 dominated the season with a ferocity that silenced the established German order. Larini clinched the drivers' championship, and Alfa Romeo took the manufacturers' title in their debut year, a feat that cemented the 155 V6 TI as one of the most celebrated touring cars ever to turn a wheel in anger.
